Three Kingdoms Themed Innovation Park

Since 2021, as one of the second batch of national cultural export bases in China, the Three Kingdoms Themed Innovation Park in Wuhou District has focused on inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting the construction of national cultural export bases under the guidance of the Three Kingdoms culture. On this basis, a Three Kingdoms culture-based trade system featuring varied business formats and diversified development has been established.

In 2021, the base's export value of cultural services reached USD 23.93 million and the export value of cultural products stood at USD 33.72 million. There were more than 8,000 statement entities in the cultural and creative industry and 233 legal entities above the designated size. The added value of the cultural and creative industry totaled RMB 15 billion, accounting for about 10.7% of the city's GDP.

International Trade Enterprises

Cultural industries in the base have kept strong momentum. A number of enterprises with a strong ability to develop the international market have clustered together, including one national key cultural enterprise evaluated in 2021, 50 new foreign trade enterprises, and six newly-introduced international trade enterprises. Their business reaches Germany, Japan, Russia, Malaysia and other countries.

Three Kingdoms culture IPs have a strong influence

Meanwhile, the base's Three Kingdoms culture IPs have a strong influence overseas. Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Street were included in the "Top Ten New Cultural Tourism Landmarks in Chengdu and Chongqing". The Three Kingdoms-themed digital game "Grand Plan", jointly launched by Tencent and Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum in 2020, had attracted more than 10 million players across the Internet to reserve, topping the free game list.
