2018年6月2日，成都召开对外开放大会。2018年6月19日，《建设西部对外交往中心行动计划（2017-2022）》（以下简称“《计划》”）及《关于加快构建国际门户枢纽全面服务“一带一路”建设的意见》（以下简称“《意见》”）正式发布。

On June 2, 2018, Chengdu held the Opening-Up Conference. On June 19, the Action Plan for the Construction of the Western Foreign Exchange Center (2017-2022)(hereinafter referred to as “the plan”) and the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of an International Hub that Serves the “Belt and Road” Initiative (hereinafter referred to as “the Opinions”) were officially released.

The Plan has 4 objectives: building an international hub, creating an inland open economic highland, constructing a world-famous city of culture, and building a point city along the “Belt and Road”. It is proposed that Chengdu will have developed into an inland open economic highland and an international friendship hub by 2022, and that efforts will be expended to transform it into an influential international city in the Europe-Asia region.
